Margaret gets another new hip...........

Update: Friday, February 29th. Margaret is going home late this afternoon. She is still in a lot of pain and has a ways to go, but is happy to be going home.

Margaret moved to Room C (Central) 347 for her Physical Therapy Sessions. Her new phone number is 865-545-6347

Update: Sunday afternoon. Margaret is doing amazingly well. She is still in St. Mary's doing physical therapy and is of course still in quite a bit of pain, but is walking very well with the walker. She will likely be in the hospital a few more days.

Update: Wednesday afternoon. Margaret is moving right a long, literally. She has 2 sessions of physical therapy each day, and is of course in pain - but is doing a little better each day. Cindy has gone back to Auburn and Jennifer has gone back to teaching. Margaret can get out of bed by herself (wow - that is huge!) but needs help to get back in. Keep her in your prayers! She will be at St. Mary's at least thru the weekend.

Update: Sunday evening. Margaret moved to transition care tonight and is doing well. She will have a new room number and phone number (above). Cindy came in today and will get her settled in her new room and head back to Auburn tomorrow.

Update: Saturday evening. Margaret is still in a lot of pain, but she is really being a trooper and up walking around in the hall with the walker several times a day, and walking to the bathroom. She is really determined, and walking thru the pain. I am so proud of her! She may move to transition tomorrow in the Physical Therapy Unit and have that 2 times a day. Keep Margaret in your prayers. She will likely be in this whole next week - so if you have a chance, send her a card or give her a call. Her number is below.

Update: Friday afternoon. Margaret is in pain but doing well. They had her up walking on Thursday - day of surgery! Go Margaret! She was up 2 times walking today. She will likely be in St. Mary's for 10 days. She is in Tower 300. Her phone number is 865-545-6300.

Update: Thursday at noon. Margaret is out of surgery and in recovery. Surgery went well. More updates later. I will put new updates at the top of the post - if you are reading this for the first time read from the bottom up.

Margaret is getting her 2nd new hip for Valentines Day! Yes, February 14th Margaret will be back at St. Mary's for her 2nd hip replacement surgery. She will have to be there at 5am on Thursday morning, and is 2nd in line. Stay tuned for updates.
